eechworth Health Service (BHS) is a Small Rural Health Service (SRHS) that provides a range of services to its local community that include Acute, District Nursing, Residential Aged Care and Primary Care.

We are seeking the services of an audit professional to provide internal audit services to BHS for a three year period.

The Role:
* Perform high quality, risk-focussed assurance work to satisfy the requirements of the Standing Directions of the Minister of Finance under the Financial Management Act.
* Review system, operation and adequacy of controls.
* Evaluate the extent of compliance with BHS policies and procedures and the accuracy of management information.
* Identify and advise BHS on process improvement opportunities.
* Prepare reports for BHS’s Finance and Audit Committee.
* Review the annual internal audit plan to ensure highest risk areas are scrutinised.

Skills and Experience:
* Professional accounting and/or internal audit qualifi cations
* Understanding of the Department of Human Services Financial Management Compliance Framework.
* CPA or equivalent
* Experience in external and or internal auditing
