Busselton Jetty Incorporated (BJ Inc) invites suitably experienced Contractors to submit expressions of interest as the first stage in a two-stage procurement process that aims to culminate in the award a design and construct contract to design and build the Australian Underwater Discovery Centre (AUDC).
Through this two-stage procurement process, BJI seeks to engage a suitably qualified Design and Construct Contractor that in addition to having the necessary marine engineering expertise, also exhibits altruistic and community values together with an aptitude for incorporating artistic, cultural, historic and environmental considerations into the final project details.
BJI is a not-for-profit community organisation that has the privilege of managing the day to day commercial operations of the Jetty. BJI undertakes this under a sub-licence that is granted by the City of Busselton who has management of the Crown Reserve on which the Jetty is located.
