The scope of work includes but is not limited to the design, supply, testing, installation, testing, commissioning and handover of the mine site radio system. The contractor shall provide a robust and reliable communication system that will support the Mining operations and maintenance activities. The scope of work includes but is not limited to:

•  Site survey & field Investigations;
•  Detailed design and frequency licencing;
•  Equipment procurement and delivery;
•  Installation of repeaters, antennas, feeder cables and surge protection
•  Commissioning and handover; including documentation
•  Compile site radiation hazards folders.

The contractor shall provide a complete system including transmission equipment, conduits, cabling, base stations / controllers, network switches, power systems and management software necessary for an initial self-sufficient operation that can be integrated with other communications systems across the mine / rail / port operations;

Supply of radio handsets, vehicle radios and desktop radios is outside of this scope of work.

All work performed by the contractor shall be in accordance with details provided in the specifications, drawings, this SoW and other contract documentation.

The works shall include the provision of all personnel, supervision, labour, materials, chemicals, plant, equipment and testing as required unless otherwise provide for in the contract. The contractor shall be aware of the risks, hazards and operating environment associated with working in a remote site and shall mitigate these risks.

The contractor shall ensure the execution of the works complies with the requirements of the company’s safety and health and environmental management systems and plans.

The contractor shall coordinate their work with the company’s project team and other contractors. This shall include attendance at meetings, schedules, safety plans, traffic management, safety briefings and any other matters required.

It shall be noted that this is an EOI only and the detailed scope of work shall be provided during the tender phase.
