Expressions of interest are now open for a new project with the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC. The project is being undertaken for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning Victoria (DELWP) and seeks to provide an independent technical review of DELWP’s ecological assessment program and provide strategic direction for improving ecological resilience assessment tools and processes.

EOI proposals are due by 11.59pm 14 April 2021 to office@bnhcrc.com.au

This project will inform DELWP's Fire Ecology Strategy and Ecological Metrics Enhancement project, which seeks to deliver a long-term Fire Ecology Strategy and enhance DELWP's forest and fire ecology program including its use of ecological resilience metrics. The research could be conducted by the same team as the EOI to lead consultation with fire ecology subject matter experts, or it could be conducted separately. The research will provide detailed expert advice regarding key technical subjects and recommendations for feasible improvements to existing tools and processes. The research is due to be completed by 14 June 2021.
