Tender Description
The Nature-Based Tourism Co-investment Fund provides businesses and organisations with matched funding to help them deliver sustainable, nature-based tourism experiences in South Australia's parks and places.
Overview
Funding is available to support the delivery of nature-based, ecologically sensitive tourism experiences that meet the objectives of the program, including:
- engagement with partners that have the capacity and capability to develop and deliver sustainable tourism experiences and products in SA’s national parks, reserves, botanic gardens and Crown Land
- delivering positive benefits for the conservation of SA’s nature, parks and places
- delivering sustainable tourism services that benefit and are supported by local community and visitors
- providing a clear economic benefit for SA by creating new, sustainable jobs and measurable economic growth
Examples of eligible projects include:
- developing interpretative, educational or interactive materials, like signage
- developing new cultural tours, experiences or events that will trigger visitation
- establishing and/or upgrading ecologically sensitive accommodation
- refitting and/or repurposing existing infrastructure or buildings
- establishing or upgrading walking trails, or upgrading reception or assembly areas
- improving minor tourism infrastructure
What are the eligibility criteria?
To be eligible, you must:
- be either:
- a private sector business
- a business cluster
- a local government body
- an Aboriginal corporation
- an incorporated association
- be financially viable
- be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
- have an Australian business number (ABN)
