Dear Tenderers

 This EOI (Expression of Interest) is for the appointment of a panel of prequalified Architects to provide Architectural services for RMIT capital projects.

The benefits of establishing the Panel are summarised as follows:

Panel members will have the opportunity to work with RMIT on multiple projects over the term of the Panel. This will support the development of a strong working relationship, the ability to agree on mutual standards of performance and behaviour and to hold both RMIT and the Panel to account.

Panel members will become familiar with RMIT’s Design Standards, stakeholder expectations and building stock. This will support lessons being learnt, documented and applied to the next project, and establish a strong basis for enhancing the quality of RMIT designed and built projects.

The Panel will also enhance “speed to market”. Panel prequalification will address general criteria applicable to all design consultancy procurement activities (e.g., RMIT Design Standard compliance, contractual compliance and financial viability). Following acceptance onto the Panel consultants will not have to resupply that information and will be required to address project specific criteria only, when submitting for specific Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

  RMIT invites submissions to be prequalified for one or more of the following Panel Subcategories:

Established Architects/Practices (prequalification for projects with total end investment value up to $10M)

Panel A - Landscape and Urban Design and Master planning

Panel B - Heritage

Panel C - Laboratories

Panel D – General University Spaces

Panel E- Small Works (TEI $1M)
