Alfred Health is seeking proposals from providers to work in partnership with Alfred Health and relevant third-party vendors, to provide an eReferral Solution which will seamlessly harmonise referrals into the hospital, and improve the quantity, quality and ease of sending, receiving and processing electronic referrals.
Project Objectives:
- Procurement and implementation of a suite of eReferral smart forms (referral and eConsult form) that will improve the ease at which an external provider can securely send a referral to Alfred Health.
-Improve the volume of quality referrals received by Alfred Health
2.Procurement of a referral management system (RMS) to facilitate:
-The referral receipt, clerical checking and automated integration into Cerner Millennium EMR.
-Provide a secure platform for referral status updates to the referrer and patients as per the Victorian Access policy guidelines
-Provide a secure platform for bidirectional communication from an Alfred Specialist to the referring GP in the form of an eConsult
-Improve the workflow processes to facilitate prompt and appropriate management of new referrals from external sources and harmonise triage processes with referrals received internal to Alfred.
It is Alfred Health’s preference to have a single offer for both the Smart Form and RMS solutions (single vendor or consortium), however, submissions for an individual solution of either the Smart form or RMS will also be considered.
