Retail Food & Beverage Partners

Alfred Health provides the most comprehensive range of healthcare services in Victoria through our three hospital campuses, a large network of community programs and 16 state-wide services.

Alfred Health’s key purpose and objective for the refurbishment of its retail food and beverage (F & B) outlets is to enhance patient, staff and visitors experience while improving wellbeing through healthy eating.

To achieve this key objective the following Alfred Health premises will have new retail food and beverage outlets and The Alfred campus is undergoing a significant refurbishment:

• The Alfred at 55 Commercial Rd, Melbourne
• 260 Kooyong Rd, Caulfield.

At The Alfred one new food and beverage operator will provide three new F & B service offerings.

• Tenancy 1A – Main food option including full commercial kitchen facilities for tenant to prepare offerings on site.

• Tenancy 1B – Coffee and food option to supplement Tenancy 1A

• Tenancy 1C – Grab and go option to supplement Tenancy 1A and Tenancy 1B.

Alfred Health’s design team has test fitted the proposed tenancy layouts as labelled in the Tenancy Guidelines. An opportunity now exists to reimagine the food & beverage retail offerings. These retail tenancies should create an uplifting environment that is consistent with a Melbourne café experience while being sensitive to the health setting.

The F & B retail precinct will allow for staff, patients and visitors who need to:

• efficiently undertake a transactional process - i.e. purchase food/other items and leave the precinct

• purchase food and sit to eat and relax in the ambience

• use the area while waiting for an appointment; a casual 1:1 meeting; for a patient to complete discharge; or prior to a work shift.

Alfred Health is seeking experienced and capable Food & Beverage partner/s to operate F&B outlets within the Alfred Hospital Ground Floor Foyer Retail Precinct and Caulfield Hospital Campus as well as delivering occasional event catering as required.

Alfred Health is working with Fitzroys to conduct this market engagement campaign with the aim of identifying a future partner/s to deliver the Food and Beverage (F&B) services component on behalf of our health service over a ten-year term.
