As Western Australia`s lead agency for economic development, the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) plays a key role in supporting the Western Australian Climate Policy and the orderly transition of industry to a low carbon economy.

As Western Australia progresses towards net zero emissions, it is essential for the State Government and industry to have a shared understanding of critical supply chains for essential technologies and infrastructure to support decarbonization of Western Australia`s heavy industry, together with associated supply chain risks, opportunities, barriers and potential options to support secure and diverse supply chains for heavy industry decarbonization.

JTSI is seeking to appoint a consultant(s) to undertake a Net Zero Supply Chain Study (the Study). The Study aims to identify and map critical supply chains to achieve the decarbonization of heavy industry aligned with Western Australia`s target of net zero by 2050, and to assess the associated risks, opportunities and barriers, with findings to be delivered in a written report.
