CWP Renewables Pty Ltd (CWPR) propose to develop a wind farm and associated infrastructure for the generation of renewable energy and to provide economic stimulus to the region. The Project is located on land that is privately owned and predominately used for agriculture, approximately 20 km north-west of Armidale. As there is potential for changes to the Project area, a broad heritage assessment area has been defined.

EMM Consulting Pty Limited is undertaking an Aboriginal cultural heritage assessment as part of the broader environmental impact assessment for the Project.
Registrations are invited from Aboriginal individuals and organisations who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the area, and who wish to be involved in the consultation process undertaken as part of the assessment.
The purpose of consultation is to assist the proponent in: 1) assessing the Aboriginal heritage values of the area; 2) to assist NSW Government in the assessment of Aboriginal heritage reports prepared for the Project; and 3) to support any future applications or approvals for the Project sought under Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and/or National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
