Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council invites Lump Sum tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for the construction of Cherbourg Cultural Pathway Stage 1 Structures and Pathway Approaches. The Cultural Pathway infrastructure is aimed at improving access to local areas of importance for the Cherbourg Indigenous community.
Council aims to tender and award the contract by the 21 December 2023 pending the tender process for commencement onsite in early 2024. It is envisaged the contract works would be completed within six months from commencement onsite.
The scope includes concrete pathways, elevated pedestrian boardwalks and bridges, stormwater culverts and services relocations.
The project aims to be a local indigenous employment generator along with opportunities for training through an Indigenous Employment Plan to be negotiated with the successful contractor.
