Burwood Council and City of Canada Bay (“the Council”) have agreed to jointly Tender for the supply, installation and maintenance of their respective parking meter fleets and in-ground parking sensors. Additionally, the Councils would like to include the option for a pay-by-phone parking app which would be fully integrated with the parking meter management system.

Burwood Council currently has a fleet of 110 Parkeon Strada Rapide pay and display parking meters, located within on street and off-street parking areas. Burwood Council has also partnered with the NSW Government and deployed the Park’nPay app for use in all ticket parking areas.

The City of Canada bay has a fleet of 29 Integrated Parking Technologies (ITS) pay and display parking meters located within on street and off-street parking areas. The City of Canada Bay has long term trials with two pay parking app provides available at some of these pay parking areas.

The Council are wanting to replace their entire fleets of parking meters prior to the decommissioning of the 3G cellular network which is scheduled to be shut down in mid-2024.

The RFT replies will be evaluated by Councils and then contracts executed separately by Burwood Council and City of Canada Bay with the successful Tenderer/s. Burwood Council and the City of Canada Bay may choose to execute contracts with different Tenderers.

The contract is for an initial 5-year period with options to continue annually (up to 3 extensions, each for one year) or until the end of service and support life of the equipment (which must be declared in the response.)
