The services to be provided:

•  Provide heritage advice on referred planning and development proposals, including Planning Proposals.
•  Assessing minor works applications for heritage exemptions.
•  Reviewing unauthorised works matters referred for heritage advice.
•  Providing a response to general enquiries by owners about their heritage properties.
•  Attending pre-lodgement meetings, review draft plans and provide pre-DA advice.
•  Occasionally attending site meetings with officers, as requested with prior notice.
•  Preparing Land & Environment Court documentation for heritage related matters, on behalf of Council.
•  Representing Council as an expert witness on matters in the Land & Environment Court
•  Advising the Manager or Director on the potential significance of a building or place.
•  Undertaking heritage assessments and reviews for the listing of properties and heritage conservation areas in Council’s LEP.
•  Reviewing and preparing objectives and development controls for heritage items and heritage conservation areas.
•  Providing heritage advice to other sections of Council in relation to Council projects.
•  Attend and provide an opinion at meetings with applicants, stakeholders, as required.
•  Attend and provide an opinion, training or complete presentations with Council Officers, Council Briefings, Council meetings, Planning Panel or Design Review Panels as required.
