This RFT is issued by Meridian Energy Limited, referred to below as "the Buyer" or "we" or "us".

A spare transformer is required for Manapouri power station to align with a company strategy.

A new 13.8 / 220 kV 135 MVA three-phase, three-winding power transformer to fit within any one of the eight transformer vaults is currently in production by the Manufacturer (Wilson Transformer Company).

The transformer is dimensionally identical to the existing units installed at Manapouri and this is primarily due to site constraints that dictate ultimate sizing and interface requirements.

This contract is for the transportation of this transformer from the Manufacturer's premises in Victoria, Australia to the Delivery Place at Manapouri Hydro Power Station (Machine Hall Floor), Southland, New Zealand.
