The work involves heavy patching and resealing of existing bitumen sealed pavements at various locations within the Council area that have been damaged as a result of recent weather events.

The Work will normally involve in-situ stabilization with incorporation of specified binders and or additives.

Council will generally use Type 1B treatment for its Heavy Patching program (refer to Clause 6 of this specification for detail), however it may be necessary to substitute alternative treatments where considered necessary following direction from Council's Representative. Scope and payment for other than Type 1B treatments will be agreed prior to work on these sections of pavement.

Council are calling for a full service inclusive, but not limited to; preliminaries, mobilization to site and between patches, traffic management, heavy patching, bitumen sealing and replacement line marking where required.

The location of the sections of road to be treated are set out in 7820 Federation 1034 EPA RW P1 Approved Summarized Scope-Final Excel Sheet in column 'O' ( drive link and exact location is mentioned when you click on the link for each item). Tenderers must fill column "W" and give us unit rate of each heavy patch or resealing where mentioned. The unit rate will include all the works involved including material costs, traffic management, treatment and reporting for single job/column. Column 'O' unit rate is given for type 1B treatment but if the road treatment type 1B fails after proof roll, you will use treatment type 1C. Hence, unit price should be given in Tender Schedule section (2) schedule of rates for all treatment types.
