The University seeks to engage a suitably qualified and resourced catering Service provider for the provision of catering and cafe management for Bruce and Wright Halls in accordance with the detailed statement of requirements in the tender pack.

In 2019, Bruce and Wright Halls opened to student residents. Bruce Hall has a main wing that includes undergraduate students and a smaller wing, comprising predominantly postgraduate students, called Packard Wing. Wright Hall is made up of a single wing almost a mirror of Bruce Hall, it is predominantly made up of undergraduate students. Both Bruce and Wright Hall are connected on the ground floor by the commercial kitchen. Which links to the back of house for both Bruce and Wright Halls dining rooms.

Bruce Hall, Wright Halls and Packard Wing have varying access to catered living arrangements: Bruce Hall is fully catered (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Wright Hall is semi-catered (residents are provided 16 meals per week which they redeem at any set meal period within a week) and Packard Wing includes one meal allowance per week.

The catering is managed through a central commercial kitchen which connects both Bruce and Wright Halls. Each Hall has its own dining hall and servery.
