The Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) is advertising a Request for Tender (RFT) to seek submissions from suitably qualified, experienced and resourced Principal Contractors for the Construction of the Doug Jennings Park Revitalisation Project as part of implementation of The Spit Master Plan, May 2019 (the master plan).
The following attached documents detail the requirements for this construction work and outline the requirements for this engagement:

Additionally, this RFT is for the following scope of construction works across the project areas, including but not limited to the following elements:
- Construction of a shared east west connection path;
- Demolition of existing surface and possible reuse of the pavement and material in existing car park and footpath. Please refer to demolition plans;
- Seating and feature viewing areas off either side of the shared path;
- Earthworks and treatment to Doug Jennings Park (landform – sub grade, levelling and mounding);
- Landscaping and earthworks for Doug Jennings Park including trees, gardens and new turf areas;
- Supply and install of picnic / shade shelter;
- Potable water reticulation with hose tap connections;
- Irrigation supply line and Quick Coupling Valves (QCV’s) ;
- Supply and install bespoke park furniture including picnic tables, benches, and seats;
- Supply and install bike racks, drink bubblers/bottle refill and garbage bin stands;
- Formalising maintenance/emergency vehicle access track;
- Supply and install of shade trees and plants;
- Feature planting (trees and shrubs at select locations); Refer to Appendix A – Landscape Design Drawings;
- Installation of electrical and pits
- Reinforced turf;
- Removal of existing vegetation;
- Informational, regulatory and interpretive signage / elements;
- Integrated public art in the form of concrete stenciling;
- Demolish existing services as required;
- Installation of lighting; and
- Installation of a TransLink bus stop.
