The State of Queensland through the Department of Tourism and Sport (DTS), as represented by the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI’s) from suitably qualified Dietitians (Respondent) to provide high performance Sports Nutrition services to QAS supported sports and athletes.

A two-stage procurement process will be undertaken to appoint the successful Respondents:

• Stage One – Expressions of Interest to shortlist participants; then
• Stage Two – Further process undertaken with the shortlisted Respondents.

Stage One is an open process, with both experienced and early career Sports Dietitians who comply with the mandatory requirements of the EOI able to submit an EOI response. The EOI response consists of only broad criteria. Respondents will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience and divided into two groups - one for experienced practitioners and the other for early career practitioners.

The Stage Two will involve the two groups of shortlisted Respondents responding to more specific criteria and participate in interview (if required) in order for QAS to make final decision.

Expressions of Interest are sought from individual health practitioners who have the appropriate qualifications, experience, expertise and capacity to provide the required services.

The successful Respondent will be contracted by QAS as a ‘Supplier’ for an initial contract term from 6 January 2025 to 28 February 2027, with an option to extend for a further 2 years until 28 February 2029 at the discretion of QAS. Typically, the services will be required between 2 to 5 days per week (with each day being 8 hours), depending on the requirements of the sport programs.
