The State of Queensland through the Department of Tourism and Sport (DTS), as represented by the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI’s) from suitably qualified Sports Physicians or General Practitioenr with a special interst in Sport Medicine (Respondent) to provide high performance Sport Medicine services to QAS supported Sports and Athletes.

A two-stage procurement process will be undertaken to appoint the successful Respondents:

• Stage One – Expressions of Interest to shortlist participants; then
• Stage Two – Further process undertaken with the shortlisted Respondents.

Stage One is an open process, with both experienced and early career Practitioenr ( e.g. Sports Physician Registrars, Sports Physicians or General Practitioerns with a special interst in Sport Medicine), who comply with the mandatory requirements of the EOI, able to submit an EOI response. The initial EOI requests a response to broad criteria. Respondents will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience and divided into two groups - one for experienced practitioners and the other for early career practitioners.

Stage Two will involve the two groups of shortlisted Respondents, answering to more specific criteria in order for QAS to make a final decision.

Expressions of Interest are sought from individual health practitioners who have the appropriate qualifications, experience, expertise and capacity to provide the required services.

Typically, the services will require an availability onsite for a minimum of 1 day per week (with each day being 8 hours), depending on the requirements of the sport programs. For operational convenience this may be spread across the week as mutually agreed. The Supplier will perform the services at locations based on either Gold Coast, Brisbane or Sunshine Coast. The Supplier may also be required to travel to Queensland Academy of Sport located at 468 Kessel Road, Nathan QLD, and other locations as required from time to time.
