Tender Description
The University House, constructed in 1954 as building number 1 on the ANU Acton campus, opened by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh, has been a centrepiece on the campus ever since. The precinct plays a significant part in the social and heritage culture on the campus. The building offers a collegiate environment for academic staff, visitors, and graduate students to come together. There are over one hundred hotel and student accommodation rooms that combined with function space, cafe, restaurant and communal gardens, provide the ANU with a unique offering compared to other Australian universities.
The University House, which sustained significant damage during the 2020 hailstorm, has undergone extensive remediation. The next crucial phase requires an experienced and capable contractor to be able to undertake a turnkey service to supply, remediate and install the furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the University House.
