Tender Details
Tender Description
Agricultural businesses have the opportunity to share in $3.3 million worth of grants to help fund job-creating projects across rural and regional Queensland.
Expressions of interest (EO!) are now open for round seven of the Rural Economic Development (RED) Grants, administered by QRIDA on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.
Co-contribution grants of up to $200,000 are aimed at generating jobs, expanding agricultural supply chains and providing significant economic benefit to rural areas.
Up to $3.3 million has been made available in this round, with $400,000 of the funding allocated to First Nations agribusinesses.
Grant funding may be used for activities such as:
- capital expenditure on buildings, plant and equipment for the exclusive use of the project
- consumables used for the project
- training costs and technical support that are project specific
- salary and on-costs for staff and professionals working on activities for the funded project.
Since the first round in 2018, the RED Grant scheme has already delivered over $20 million in funding and created more than 3,000 jobs in rural and regional areas.
Successful EOIs will be invited to submit a full application with final grants awarded by late May 2025.
Please share with agricultural contacts and businesses, and First Nations agribusinesses, in your region who may be interested in the scheme.
