Tender Description
Secondary Roof Support, Ventilation and Labour Hire Services for a two-year period at Chain Valley Colliery (CVC). An optional extension of a further one-year Term may be awarded depending on performance.
LOCATION OF SITE
CVC is an underground coal mine on the southern side of Lake Macquarie approximately 60 km South of Newcastle and 80 km north of Sydney. The pit-top is located 3 km south of the township of Mannering Park. Great Southern Energy Pty Ltd (trading as Delta Coal (DC)) commenced as owner and operator of CVC and as the operator of neighboring Mannering Colliery (MC) on 1 April 2019.
CVC is currently a bord and pillar mine, utilising the continuous miner methods operating in the Fassifern coal seam. Previous mining has also taken place in the Wallarah and Great Northern Coal seams.
The Contractor will have the opportunity to send two representatives to attend the Site (including underground) for an inspection on a date and time to be confirmed by the Principal. Note that although the site inspection is not mandatory, it is highly recommended for any tenderers not familiar with the Site.
EXTENT OF WORK
The Contractor must provide a minimum number of 10 Personnel including one Supervisor and a sufficient number of leading hands, to perform a range of mining duties as per the Work Direction issued by the Principal including the installation of remedial support and ventilation control devices, Production Duties, Bullgang duties, and other similar work as directed by the Principal.
