Tender Description
The Shire of East Pilbara ('the Principal' / 'Council'), is a local government authority located within the Northwest region of Western Australia.
The Principal owns a fleet of approximately 140 vehicles comprising of 84 light fleet vehicles, 35 medium fleet vehicles and 21 heavy fleet plant/trucks. The Principal wishes to equip all its vehicles with suitable GPS Vehicle Tracking Units/System.
The Principal offers no guarantee as to the quantity of vehicle tracking units to be ordered.
The Principal invites Tenders from suitably established Contractors for the supply of GPS vehicle tracking units/system using the most appropriate technology to cope with the harsh climatic and road conditions of the Pilbara.
The Contractor shall be required to supply latest technology GPS systems to approximately 140 vehicles.
Additionally, the Contractor shall be responsible for providing technical support and system updates as required.
The Contractor shall also be responsible for the repair/replacement of the GPS units as prescribed under the Warranty provisions.
The vehicle tracking units/system must be able to access and utilise the 4G LTE mobile network system for primary communication and automatically switch to satellite technology when the 4G LTE network is inadequate.
The vehicle tracking system must be capable of continuously tracking vehicles and transmitting recorded data using a mapping system, along with other means of data reporting, regardless of cellular network availability.
