Tender Description
ACC is seeking applications from suppliers to provide ACC funded Vehicle Modification Services.
The objective of Vehicle Modification Services (Service) is to enable Kiritaki/clients who have been identified by ACC as requiring vehicle modifications to:
• Get in and out of a vehicle safely and have freedom and safety of movement while in it; and/or
• Safely drive or operate a vehicle; and/or
• Travel safely as a passenger; and/or
• Transport essential mobility equipment; and
• Live as independently and safely as possible.
The success of the Service is measured by:
• The Kiritaki being satisfied with the modified vehicle and the service they received.
• The vehicle can be legally driven on New Zealand roads (e.g., all relevant regulated certifications (including LVVTA/ NZTA Entry Certification/ Warrant of Fitness and Certificate of Fitness are issued).
• The Transport Assessor is satisfied the modified vehicle meets the agreed modification design specification and the Kiritaki’s assessed needs in a modified vehicle.
• The modification is completed within the accepted quotation.
• The modification is completed in a timely manner that minimises alternative transport costs and standards specified in the service Operational Guidelines.
