The Tasmanian Government, represented by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas), is intending to provide funding to a provider/s for the establishment of cat management facility/facilities in the North-West and West Coasts of Tasmania, through a grant program.

The grant opens on Monday 6 January 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be eligible to become approved to operate a cat management facility, as per Part 2, section 5 of the Cat Management Regulations 2022. For further information, please review the following document:

         -Establishing a Cat Management Facility under the Cat Management Act 2009 (PDF 175Kb)

• Hold a currently active Australian Business/Company Number (ABN/ACN).
• Understand and agree to the requirements of establishing and management of a cat management facility, as per:

          -Cat Management Act 2009; and

          -Cat Management Regulations 2022.

• Hold and maintain appropriate public liability insurance.
