Scope and Specification of Works :
The Shire operates more than 100 facilities that range in size and age including the Shire administration building, depot, waste transfer station, community centres, halls, fire stations, public toilets, sheds, changerooms, and pavilions. It shall be noted that many of these assets have air-conditioning systems which require routine maintenance and potential repairs.
There is a possibility that additional air-conditioning hardware may be incorporated into the scope of this contract for the provision of these services.
The Contractor will be required to provide all labour, licenses, plant and equipment, materials, chemicals, disposal costs, transport / cartage, supervision / administrative costs, and travelling expenses etc. and anything else necessary to carry out the services required under this Contract.
The Shire requires the successful Contractor to coordinate a maintenance program, reactive maintenance and minor installations as follows:
• Maintenance is any variety of scheduled maintenance to an item of equipment or plant carried out by a competent Contractor to ensure that an item of equipment or plant is operating correctly, and therefore avoids breakdown and unscheduled downtime.
• Reactive maintenance (also known as “breakdown maintenance”) are repairs that are done when equipment has already broken down. Reactive maintenance focuses on restoring the equipment to its normal operating condition. The Shire reserves the right to request quotations from alternative suppliers for major repairs, and installations outside the scope of this tender.
• Installations include supply, and installation of single split system air conditioners and other various installations. The Shire reserves the right to request quotations from alternative suppliers for major installations outside the scope of this tender.
The work to be performed comprises the inspection, servicing, and reporting on the plant, and equipment at nominated premises.
The specific premises, and the exact number of items of plant, and equipment that comprise this Contract may change from time to time during the Contract term. The work is to be carried out and reported on in accordance with the service interval schedules.
The Contractor shall deliver the required service within the specified time. Should the Contractor be unable to meet the timeframe, the Shire reserves the right to engage a separate Contractor for that work/required services.
The Contractor is to have all required resources to complete such works and be completed in a timely manner as per the timeframe agreed with the Shire’s Representative. Work requirements will fluctuate depending on the time of year.
The proposed Contract includes but is not limited to the following services (supply, delivery, installation, maintenance, and repair):
• Split system service
• Ducted system service
• Packaged air conditioning unit service
• Evaporative air conditioning unit service
